A while back I picked up the original Leica M Monochrom. If you’re unfamiliar with these cameras, it doesn’t have a typical bayer array, or any kind of filter that helps it decipher color information. Each pixel on the sensor only records the amount of light it receives, resulting in a black and white image that is unaffected by color information.

It’s a bit unnecessary since most cameras shoot with black and white presets, and the differences aren’t significant enough for most people to justify buying one of these. I just wanted to try it out since most of my photography is black and white anyway, and now I can shoot without needing to edit (as much).
